My Advice for Writer’s Block in Wannabe Bloggers

Somebody wrote a comment on one of my blog entries, saying that she had a problem with procrastination. I might call that some kind of writer’s block. Perhaps nothing to say. I am a teacher, even though I stopped teaching years ago. I have that didactic drive, motivation. I cannot turn it off, much to the suffering of my boys—they joke about it. (That didactic finger will not stop shaking. As it must now be offered to that somebody, and whoever else may be bending an ear.)

You just have to get something that motivates you in your mind, moves you, something you want desperately to say. Mull it over, think and do not write a word until it has matured somewhat in your thinking. Let its words and sentences form in your thinking. Think in a place and at a time when you do your best self-talk. Get the concept, the overall shape or shard of an idea strongly themed before you put it on paper. It should be a moment of, “Eureka! I’ve got it!” Even a small “Eureka Effect” will do. Some small or hopefully big elation with your central idea. A truly good feeling about it will keep your motivation high. You should be greatly MOVED to put it down. You should feel a big movement coming on, just like nature’s call, if you get my drift. At that moment, it will NOT be something you can put off. The idea is in need of urgent purgation. There cannot then be any procrastination. You cannot hold it in. To meet that criterion, you just have to have what you consider and believe to be a great idea that others must read, that might change some person’s world.

BUT! You have to have a background of experience, and good writing form, and good literary, rhetorical education. Be correct. Do not slop through the langage. Be colorful.

I hope this helps. [JFD – 3-28-12]

You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you?
